WordBound collects only the minimum information required to provide the game service:

• Email address — used solely for account authentication and login via our secure backend (Supabase).
• Username & avatar — the display name and avatar you choose to be shown to other players.
• Game statistics — wins, losses, and longest words, stored to power your profile and the leaderboard.
• Game state data — active game boards and move history, required to sync multiplayer games between players.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, location, or any information beyond what is listed above.

Your data is used exclusively to make the game function:

• Authenticating your login and securing your account.
• Displaying your profile, stats, and username to other players in the game.
• Syncing multiplayer game boards and turns in real time.
• Powering the leaderboard with anonymised win/loss totals.

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or shared with any third-party marketing platforms.

We will never sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes.

Your data exists only to serve you within WordBound.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted backend platform with industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS) and at-rest encryption.

We take reasonable technical steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

WordBound uses the following limited third-party services solely to operate the game:

• Supabase — database and authentication backend. Supabase's own privacy policy governs how they handle infrastructure-level data.
• Google Fonts — font loading (DM Sans, DM Mono). Google may log font request metadata.

No advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data brokers are used.

You may:

• Request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us via the Steam community hub.
• Update your username and avatar from your profile settings at any time.
• Stop using WordBound at any time — no ongoing data collection occurs outside of active game sessions.

WordBound is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-game notice. Continued use of WordBound after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
